More information about the MG2 Futura Capsule fillers, also known as encapsulators, are machines used in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries to fill empty capsules with powdered or granulated substances. These machines automate the process of encapsulation, ensuring accurate and efficient filling of capsules.
Capsule fillers consist of various components, including a hopper for holding the filling material, a dosing system to control the amount of material dispensed, and a mechanism for sealing the capsules. The filling material is typically loaded into the hopper, and the machine then dispenses the material into the empty capsules, which are held in a rotating drum or carousel. The capsules are then sealed, either by joining the two halves together or by applying a cap.
Capsule tooling, also known as change parts, refers to the specific components of the capsule filler that are designed to accommodate different capsule sizes and shapes. These tooling parts include the capsule rings, segment guides, and dosing discs, among others. By changing these tooling parts, the capsule filler can be adjusted to fill capsules of different sizes, allowing for flexibility in production.
Changing the capsule tooling or change parts is necessary when switching between different capsule sizes or shapes. This process involves removing the existing tooling parts and replacing them with the appropriate ones for the desired capsule size. It is important to ensure that the new tooling parts are properly aligned and secured to ensure accurate filling and sealing of the capsules.
In summary, capsule fillers or encapsulators are machines used to fill empty capsules with powdered or granulated substances. Capsule tooling or change parts are the specific components of the capsule filler that are changed to accommodate different capsule sizes and shapes. These tooling parts allow for flexibility in production and ensure accurate filling and sealing of the capsules.
